Commack Public Library Museum Pass Program
We are very excited to offer a new program which will expand our services to you beyond our library's walls. Already many of our patrons have signed up for this exciting program. You are invited to borrow, from the Library, admission passes to five museums: The Long Island Children's Museum, the Whaling Museum in Cold Spring Harbor, the American Museum of Natural History, Nassau County Museum of Art and the Vanderbilt Museum and Planetarium. Each pass will give admission to two adults and two children, and will have a loan period of a few days in order to make the passes available to as many patrons as possible. Reservations will be taken up to two months in advance of the desired date. Please phone the Library at 631-499-0888, or visit the Reference Desk to make arrangements to participate in this great new program.
Free museum admission passes are available to Commack Public Library cardholders in good standing who have signed the Museum Pass User Agreement. Each pass will give admission to two adults and two children. Fines of $15.00 and over will preclude participation. A new agreement must be signed each time a museum pass is reserved or checked out.
Museum passes may be reserved up to two months in advance and must be checked out by an adult (over 18) Commack Public Library cardholder. Reservations will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis, and are limited to one pass at a time per family. To reserve a pass, or for more information, call the Reference Desk at 499-0888.
Passes may be borrowed from Tuesdays, beginning at 9A.M., until Thursday, due back by 8 P.M. Passes may be picked up Friday, beginning at 9 A.M., and due back Monday at 9A.M. They must be returned, to the Reference Desk, by the stipulated time. Passes may not be placed in the book or media return drop. Passes may be renewed if no one is waiting for them.
Late charges are $5.00 per day. If a pass is lost, the borrower will be charged any fee incurred by its replacement.
Borrowers should call the museum directly for information concerning parking, hours of operation and directions. Each museum reserves the right to determine all rules governing the use of their pass.
